I went by the vet today to drop of a fecal sample
for Chay, who, if some of you may remember, is having intermittent diarrhea. They tried to do some tests on Tuesday, but he didn't have any poop in him to do the float test, and his smear came back negative. We were pretty sure it was just food allergies until yesterday, when his diarrhea came back with none of the suspected food.
Soooo, I took the sample in today, and the float test was negative. But I asked them to do the smear again since I knew the first vet didn't get much of a sample, and this time the vet (my favorite one at the place, he's great!) found some Clostridium bacteria that might be the culprit!
I've got some medication for him now, so hopefully we can clear it all up! I was at my wit's end when they said both tests were negative at first, so I'm glad they found something!
