Wrinkles got 6 best of breeds and made 1 final.
Polar Bare bit a judge and I got yelled at.
He did not get disqualified.
I need to stop him from biting.
He is teething and bites hard.

I saw about Wrinkles on Facebook - she was BRILLIANT! way to go!

That is kind of weird about Polar Bear... I know this is probably completely stupid to say and to think, but it is such a coincidence that both him and Cleo have bitten judges and they a siblings, and evidently from the same breeder...

Carolina,
Cleo only did that once and that was because she had been hurt by a cat in the ring.
Polar did it because he is teething.
He is not mean to judges at all.
He does the same thing to me.
I am sure he will not do it when he is older.
It has nothing to do with the breeder.

Good - That's why I told you it was probably a stupid thing to say, but I wanted to ask your opinion...

I do know that Cleo does not like the shows - the issues with hissing and such on the rings and I remember your posts about how Polar was so playful and friendly... so... I was hoping this was indeed a fluke.
Anyways - sorry... just wandered for a moment.

I do know that Both Cleo and Polar are fantastic cats from a great breeder, as far as standard goes, don't take me wrong there...

About Wrinkles: I haven't been posting here in a little while - is this her first adult show? She did tremendously well!

I f Cleo had not got hurt in the ring she would not act bad.
She really is a nice cat and always is purring.
I know I should not say this but Cleo is my favorite sphynx.
Polar is only 6 months old and will out grow the biting.
Wrinkles I started showing last Nov.
This was her 2nd adult show in CFA.

Yeah... I know how you say that she loves people at the show, but just not the rings itself, which is strange... I know she is really sweet... She is gorgeous too
.
Right - I remember when you started showing Wrinkles - I was curious because sh didn't do so well as a kitten, but sure enough, it sounds like she will do just fine as an adult in the rings! That is awesome!
Is the show over, or you still have tomorrow too?
Were you able to show Polar at all?

The last show I was at a Cornie bit a judge and drew blood - and the judge didn't DQ the cat (which IMO they should have)!

They should disqualify them if they draw blood.
One judge got bit yesterday and she was going to go to the hospital after the show because it was getting bad.
I do not know what cat did that.
Polar did not break the skin and I did show him in the ring after that and he was fine.

One of my cats was like that as she got towards adulthood (my Maine Coon.)
She was fine in the benching cages, fine with the judge picking her up and handling her but NOT happy in the judging cages or when being put in them.

It's not always the cat's fault!

Judges should always have a choice to DQ a cat, and I'm sure they have very legitimate reasons for hanging ribbons instead of withholding awards. In fact, I have always had enormous respect for judges who will kindly allow an exhibitor to choose to absent a cat from a ring before proceeding with a formal DQ.

They should disqualify them if the cat draws blood if the cat did it on purpose.
Wrinkles hurt a judge once and I got scared.
She jumped in the cage when the judge was done with her and got her with her back claws.
It was a accident and the judge did not say anything.
It was Alex a TICA judge.
She finaled Wrinkles at the show after that.
Another TICA judge got bit by accident and was bleeding all over.
That cat was not disqualified either because it went for the toy and got her.
She was nice about it also.
Polar did not do it on Purpose and there was no blood so I guess that is why he got his ribbons.
I just do not like getting yelled at.

Thanks
Carolina cats can be very nice at home and mean at shows.
I know many people that have that problem with their cats.
Cleo needs to get over what happened to her at that show.

Cats can also be perfectly fine as exhibition, and not being judged.

Are you still getting a BSH to show Carolina? The best way to fully understand cat shows and how many different ways cats react to it is to have a show cat yourself..
