Milly is 9 years old, and keen on food. Usually, when her bowl is put in front of her, she sits & eats until all the food is gone. Yesterday evening, however, she refused to eat from her bowl. I had to sit with her, and feed her tea to her piece by piece on the feeding mat (where her bowl sits). The same thing happened at breakfast this morning. Her bowl is a pottery one with low sides, and it is cleaned after every meal. I tried putting the food into a different bowl, but she didn't like that either.
Milly is healthy, and I can think of no reason for her being under stress. When I am feeding her (it's Iams) bit by bit, she chomps down on it with enthusiasm, but she doesn't seem to want to take the food from the bowl.
Can anyone offer any ideas as to why this is happening? And any thoughts on what I can do about it would also be most welcome.
Thanks folks!
Sue
