Why is my cat more docile with a cone on?

It's almost like he likes it on! He's been a lot more friendly and attention seeking when he wears it. 

Has anyone else found this to be the case or is it my cat being strange?

I've found my guys are generally more subdued with it on. I've always suspected it was because it was harder for them to see/move around so they relied on us for entertainment a bit more and were more likely to lay in a lap than play.
