I'm an issue with my cat. I live with my family. And my cat loves to go into his room, because of the window, she gets to see birds, etc. She constantly gets locked in there, but i usually notice and go get her.
Yesterday my sister came by and we were chatting, and she got stuck in there for like 3-4 hours. I thought she had been in my window resting the entire time. She ended up peeing the floor.
what frustrates me is that when i was spending time with my sister, i kept thinking to check on her, but i didnt.
i feel so guilty. She raced from the room to her litter box to pee again and poop. shes eating normally and drinking water, but shes attached to me ever since, and wont go near the room.
the last time she peed inappropriately was 2-3? years ago when she peed in my moms floor (i tried putting pam on her litter box and she hated the smell and went on my moms bedroom.)
it makes me feel so bad she went through something like that.
since im living with family i cant demand we have litter boxes in all the rooms. my brother doesnt like my cat, but tolerates her in the room when he is there. but he closes the door once he goes out.
i told him its better to leave the door open than to have her pee his floor. he says he will just text me when he goes out.
its his room, and i know its his right to decide who should go inside. but i dont get why my cats continues going in there, when we constantly have to fetch her form the room.
does this happen with you guys? do your cats get stuck in random rooms?
