White Lump On Cats Head - Pls Help

My 9 yr old male cat has developed a white lump above his skin which sticks out above his hair. It is hard, but doesn’t seem to be bothering him. I will take him to the vet, but wanted a little advice of what it may be. I am clueless.

Hi. Is he outdoor/indoor? It looks a bit like a cyst, and those can be hard or soft. No itching, soreness, redness at all? Any other lumps anywhere?

I suppose if he is outdoors at times, that could be a tick.

Yes, my friend came over and confirmed it’s a tick. We have managed to get it out. Thank you.
