Except for a few cat trees around the house I don't really need any kind of spray to deter them away from furniture. I have the scratching post that you attached also, thats a good one. The cat trees serve a dual purpose, they like to sharpen their claws on it and it lets them look out the windows that I don't have furniture around, my window sills are very narrow so only one or two of my cats have tiny enough butts to sit on the sill.

since i got my new furniture [no more overstuffed loveseats w/nubby fabric!] i haven't had any issues at all... the fabric on the furniture seems to make a huge difference. the new loveseat/chair has a tightly-woven canvas-type cover. the den sofa has a velour-type of fabric. neither seem that attractive to my cats.
