Huxley is back to normal (well, his normal anyway!). He doesn't eat much first thing in the morning and grazes at his morning meal throughout the day while I am at work, but eats well in the afternoon and evening so I changed his medicine scheduleand give him his pills later in the day. This seems to have sorted the issue for now. I contacted the shelter to tell them that as long as I can keep him happy and stable, his home is the best place for him to be. I also commented at how cold and heartless their answer was. I emailed them seeking help and was simply told to bring him back. You don't bring a loving pet back to the shelter you adopted him from like you return a pair of pants to the store! They may have thought this was in his best interest, but it was not handled well. They never got back to me. Hopefully I can keep Huxley with me and control hischealth issues for as long as possible.
