what's wrong with my cat's eye?

hi. my cat has had a problem with her eye for 3 months, we were using an eyedrop according to our vet's recommendations but her eye is getting worse and worse. and she has been losing her sight. im so worried. we went to a different vet today and he told us to go to another clinic but we got our appointment for thursday and i just cant stand seeing her like this, will she be okay? have you experienced something like this? please help us 🥺

It could be Eosinophilic Keratitis, it looks similar but I cant be sure. You may have to see a specialist. If it is EK I have had a cat with it and she recovered well with specific daily eye drops.

Hi riniaiko riniaiko and a very warm welcome to the forum !

What I'm seeing is a serious eye problem that most "ordinary" Vets don't manage very well. She will be best served by a Specialist.

This clinic for Thursday........you need to find out if the doctor there is a Veterinary Ophthalmologist. That's a Veterinarian who has had further medical experience and training in one particular branch of medicine - Ophthalmology.

So, call back this "new Vet" who's sending you there and ask IF it's a Specialist.

When you go to the Ophthalmologist, bring those eyedrops along.

Then, let us know what comes of it all,

oh thank you so much for your reply !!! I heard that the vet there is a specialist in eye problems, and of course you can see more of her! she's my precious little Princess 🥰 (also, im sorry if I make any mistakes, English isn't my first language 🤍🫧)
