That's such a lovely tree. I'm jealous, I'm sure all my cats are too.

I wonder if they sell them in/ship to Japan.

Have to put in some overtime this month before I can afford one.
Watch it on Amazon. It's $379 (US Dollars) right now, but it was $319 last month. So it drops pretty significantly sometimes. I just added it to my Amazon Wish List and watched it.

You know, after seeing all this stuff, everything I've ever gotten seems so lame, lol.

I bought a bunch of little ball-toys for the kids to play with. I don't know why. They prefer to play with things like the plastic lids I got for cat food cans. Oscar just lifted it out of the dish dryer thing it was in and proceeded to have a ball chewing it. It's in my bed right now, where he left it.

I bought the cat tree shortly before the kittens got here. We didn't need it, but I did it anyway. Granted, it was the kittens that spurred my buying it, but I got it a few days before they arrived just so the other cats wouldn't think I only got it for the kittens. They loved it. And the kittens just took over it lol.

I'm lucky Felix seems to like most things I buy him, and the dogs are more than happy to destr-er...play with the stuff he doesn't like.

Only thing I can think of was buying a 6.00 bottle of catnip bubbles...that wouldn't make bubbles at all. Undeterred, I spent another 6.00 on another brand of catnip bubbles...only to have Felix ignore them. Oh yeah, I also spent a pretty penny on those catty stacks...instead of, you know, just putting a bunch of cardboard boxes together for free. AND he barely goes in the thing...

I bet the stuff you have gotten doesn't seem lame to your cats! They don't care what something cost or how cool it looks.

A few weeks ago I got a few old cardboard boxes, taped them together and cut holes in them to make a multi-room play condo. Looked like a heap of trash in the living room - but the cats LOVED it. They played in that thing for two weeks straight until they got tired of it. There are still two tattered Christmas bows in the cat toy pile - the bows turned out to be WAY more fun than some of the expensive catnip toys we have.

I like nice stuff around the house, but the cats are a good bit more practical!

And while that lovely designer kitty furniture is being investigated the main centre of play seems to be some kind of food / drink packaging.

Mouse seems to like the paper and cardboard packing over most toys I pay for, and has never had any interest in the lovely little kitty bed I bought him - but my tote bags (esp a lovely hand made felt one I was given for Christmas) have an instant appeal.

Oh, he has taken a liking to a proper kitty den, another gift from Santa, which is a flat pack cardboard one which has a catnip scratcher section in it - he doesn't bother with the scratcher but he will lay in the den for ages.   Santa seems to know better what to buy than I do.

...with the cats...
ohhhh! that scratcher lounger -- we have one of those! my cats all just adore it too! our two little girls love to run through the 'loops' at either end while chasing each other and/or a cat toy. my snick
and our jaspurr love to stretch out on it and nap.

give your crew some time, they may very well decide they like or love it too!

I SOOO want one of those shark dens for Mouse!
i think i found it at amazon.com... she loves these little mini-cave/bed things, and so far she has one in each bedroom, one in my office, and the shark in the living room. i think she enjoys the illusion of prptection (makes her feel safe), while - at the same time - few cats can resist warm, pllushy places to sleep.

I also got her a cat tree, but (and this is embarassing) my highscool didn't offer shop and my parents are engaged in an ongoing battle to win the dubious honor of being the least mechanically-minded person on Earth. To cut to the chase: when i  see the words "some assembly required", i automatically assume that I'm going to waste several hours building, re-building, and finally, giving up and calling one of my more mechanically-minded friends and ebg for their help. Right now, my first attempt at building a cat tower is planted in the corner of my living room. it looks stupid, but toki seems to like it.

I actually bought her another one  yesterday (this time i'm contacting my building friend later this afternoon) -- i picked this particular model because it has several raised platforms  (she likes being up high: counters, back of couch, fridge top, etc)

@defanged  I love the idea  that the most ridiculous thing you could buy your cat might be a cat tree simply because you didn't know how to assemble it.
I'm one of those annoying people who finds it easier to do practical, assembly puzzle type things and 3 dimensional space things are no effort at all but reading instuctions or doing simple arithmetic are a real battle.   Give me flat pack furniture and I'll have a party to myself.
Maybe I should set up business building cat trees for people and put an add in the local pet store.

I'll have to go take a look on Amazon to see if I can find the shark den, even though so far the most ridiculous things I've bought for Mouse are cozy dens and cat beds because he refuses to set paw in any that I've paid for.  This one is just too cute.

it's definitely weird how people have really different cognitive wiring and it crops up at the weirdest times... i can't build a cat tree if my life depended on it, but a certain amount of my monthly income is derived from building custom PCs for people who think they need all the power possible and are willing to pay for it. i also get lost on my way home sometimes if i get distracted, forget how to do simple math (a lot), but have no problem with advanced physics/chem/biology. when i was in high school, the school asked my parents ("asked") to take me to an educational specialist, who administered every psych and/or academic test she could think of. I guess I wasn't supposed to know this, but I overheard my parents discussing the results one night: apparently, my scores were really weird... a mix of literal mental retardation interspersed with mensa-level brain skills. i guess that doesnt happen very often. but it does explain why the cat tree was beyond me....

look at those pretty eyes!!

Well, I nearly bought these adorable Mew-caroons that were on sale at the pet store. They were multi colored plush macaroons that were filled with catnip. My one cat is not fond of catnip, or rather she doesn't seem to care one way or the other, have yet to try it with my new cat.

mew-caroons kinda almost sound sort of tasty...

wait - my bad - forgot to eat lunch (and breakfast). normally, cat food is even grosser to me than the stuff it ends up as in t he litterbox, but when i'm really hungry, all of my usual self-imposed dietary restrictions (eg sardines. why? they are gross.) just go flying out of the window...

Lol, they weren't edible anyway. Just plushies filled with catnip but a regular macaroon sounds yummy!
