Does anyone know what's on my cats back paw? I just noticed it today and he's never had anything like this before.
( don't mind the dirty paws our floors get quite dirty from our dogs tracking mud from outside)

It could be something as simple as a clod of wet litter. Can you pick it off to see what is underneath, that would have to be done anyway. It may be a fungus or infection, but that crust would have to come off. You could soak it first with a little liquid wound cleaner, which you can get at any farm supply store or even warm water. Don't spray anything on, that scares them, just wet a cotton ball or cloth till it is dripping. The pad looks pretty whole to me, he isn't going to like you messing with it. if he really fights you have someone help by grabbing him on the skin on the back of his neck, or bring him to a vet. They are usually too scared to fight back there. Please keep us posted, and good luck!
