Hello, I asked once about the same thing, my cats recently mated, they are both 10 months old, so the mother will be an adult when she gives birth. I will probably keep most of their babies because I want new cats, but what will they look like, both their parents had long hair, but they are short haired, can their babies be long haired? So, can someone tell me what will they look like?

The male is the color point one, the female is the tabby one.

(I know about the risks of a cat that's not spayed/neutered, but everything is fine for now, and about adoption, some countries don't have shelters because they don't really have abandoned pets, I could hardly find a cat that needed a home, the tabby one is adopted)

About half of the babies will be pointed like their dad, IF she carries the pointed gene. If she doesn't carry, none will be pointed.

The kittens could be longhaired since it sounds like both parents carry the gene. But most will be shorthaired.

The mom cat is torbie (tortie/tabby; you can see the red on her front paw), so she can have red kittens of either sex, tortie/torbie females, and/or dark males, probably tabby.

I don't think she's dilute, but he may be cream point, if so, about half the kittens will be dilute, if the mother carries the gene.

If you keep the kittens, be sure to manage their reproduction (through spay/neuter or separation) to prevent inbreeding.

I remember that you wanted them to have one litter. You should have the male neutered now. Your female can get pregnant again within a week of delivery.

It looks like you have a brown tabby, a torbie, and a pointed kitten. Pointed kittens are born white; the points will darken as the kitten develops.

Thank you, what about the torbie one, is it too soon to tell if she's a longhair?

It's a little too soon, yeah. Longhaired kittens are usually little poofs after a couple of weeks, but if she won't have very long hair it may not be as noticable. The tail usually poofs up before the body.

What breed is the father? If he's a purebred Siamese he may not carry the longhaired gene.

I think they are all short-haired, but it’s hard to tell at their age. Are they gaining weight well?

Have you gotten the male neutered yet?

Yes, they are, they are really big for 2 days, but their father is a large size.

He's not a pure breed, but their grand parents had long hair, the torbie one seems to have a longer hair.

I am not sure, but their father's tail is very thick, is this a gene or something? They got it too.

They are about 2 months old, I'm very curious what does they look like? The boy seems to be a blue point and the other a spotted tabby, and if I am no wrong is the female a long haired torbie?
