She is about 6 weeks old, long hair, chocolate brown with a tan area on her chest. I don't know a ton about breeds, but what mix or breed would make a cat this color ?

Is she chocolate (1st picture) or smoke (2nd picture) in color? The lighting is a little different, so I just want to know what color she is closest to. Solid chocolate is a very rare color, though, so if that's the case we might be looking at some Havana Brown or Burmese influence, but far back, as she has no other features in common with those breeds. In the second picture she looks more like a smoke, which is fairly rare in the randombred population, but not so much as the chocolate. She's a beautiful, unique kitten, regardless! :)

The "tan" area on the chest may be called for a locklet. A little big for a locklet, but still. :)

Locklets are usually white, so I dont know if its really tan...

Locklet doesnt need to be the white spot gene behind. They happen occasionally on the solid colored Russian blue, and these dont have that gene per defintion, being purebred.
