What kind of cat does he look like? Just a tabby?

I’m not sure what kind of cat he is. He seems like just a normal tabby but his pattern is so definitive. He is barely 5 months old and is weighing in at 9.7 pounds! (His vets says he is perfectly healthy) Anyone have any ideas.

Tabby is not a breed,it’s the print of the fur
You could try to scan your cat in a app called “Cat Scanner” it tells you how many mixed breeds are in your cat in case it is not a purebred.
(Scan it at least twice)

Spots on the belly are common in many tabbies. So these spots doesnt prove much other than they confirm he is a tabby.... To decide the tabby pattern, we use to see the sides and the back.

He looks like a dsh brown mackerel tabby with spots. My beloved Byron and GIorgio were both dsh brown mackerels and G had some white as well, kind of a tux, B had some on his chin and tummy but more tawny. I don’t think they had spots, they had the black connecting strip back. He is gorgeous😻tabbies are gorgeous. My Merlin is a ginger tuxedo, and all gingers are tabbies due to genetics. See pics…

Here is Merlin, also a dsh mackerel and a tuxedo tabby, his stripes on his body tend to blend in more, there is less contrast. He is a big guy and quite fluffy.
