I don't know what is going on with my new kitten... I am never around when it happens but I find that she is leaving little bits of liquidy poop on blankets and I am also finding that she will leave a yellow liquid on the floor sometimes with brown bits in it?? Should I be taking her to the vet? I'm not sure what this is and would greatly appreciate someones knowledge on the matter! Thank you! :)

If she hasn't seen your vet, then a vet check is a good idea for any new kitten. She probably needs a wormer, but worms wouldn't cause her to throw up.

Did she come from a shelter or breeder? You might call and see what types of wormers/vaccines they have given her and when they were given.

How old is she?

Thank you for your reply! She came from a cat breeder and is almost 5 months old, I will definitely call the vet and get her checked as well as the breeder

The vomiting sounds like a hair ball. The liquidy poop could be from an abrupt change in food. I would definitely talk to the vet. If nothing else, she needs a meet & greet with the vet as a routine visit.

Thank you! I am definitely a new cat owner and will get her into seethe vet as soon as I can! It could also quite possibly be a hairball but I had no idea that they came with liquid?

A 5 month old kitten shouldn't have hairballs. Their kitten coat usually doesn't shed much at all. If she is "blowing" her kitten coat and replacing with her first adult coat, then that's an entirely different matter.

Is she shedding much? I don't think my kitten blew her coat that young.
