I found a stray cat, she's pregnant, andI expect her to have her kittens in a few days. Why does she always have her tail up. Also, can you tell me more in depth what the signs of labor are. It isn't very helpful online. But, I know if she's pacing around, she is most likely in her early stages of labor.

She made a nest under my shed, but I took her into my garage. She has a nest with 2 places to sleep, and food and litter box, all of this is in a 4 foot radius
Thx

She's pacing around my garage now. But she's also eating. I'm not sure if she's in early stage of labor or not! She's also having tiny spasims in her upper abdomen!

She's having visible contractions now, but she's eating, should I be concerned

So beautiful! I can't help out on anything pregnant-cat related, but a cat with her tail up is typically a happy and confident cat. Whenever our cat Gohan is unsure, his tail goes about parallel to his body and droops. When my boyfriend/his savior/his daddy speaks to him and pets him, the tail springs up to vertical again and he walks around more confidently.

Unsure kitty:

Confident kitty:

Daddy is giving me attention kitty:

How is your cat doing now? Is she still laboring, or do you have kittens now?

She's still in labor
She ate a tiny bit, but I've seen some contractions. I'm probably gonna stay up all night if she starts having kittens tonight

Hmm, maybe she went out of labor(if that's possible) she ate a bit more, and I think the contractions have stopped

She just pooped, but then she farted out a yellow liquid
Should I be concerned or was that just poop juice

It wasn't much either, just a tiny bit that I wiped off with a towel

She was probably having pre-labor contractions. This is not uncommon. Cats often also experience some diarrhea prior to actual labor and delivery.

All sounds normal. Hang in there!
