What did your cats think of all the 4th of July fireworks?
Nano is extremely wary of any heavy thunderstorms, so I expected her to be "on guard" when the fireworks starting going off. There is a football field behind the building and Nano could see a fireworks display out the window from her perch. Instead of retreating to a safe distance to sort out what was happening, Nano pressed up next to the glass and intently watched the 20 minute show. She let out her curious "meeerooowwwrrrrr" after each big blast, and was tracking all of the lights with the same "gameface" she uses when tracking birds. After the show was over, she stood guard for another thirty minutes as if waiting for one last blast.
Call me crazy but it was almost like she was enjoying herself. Next year I might put her in the carrier and take her with me to the big fireworks show that the city puts on. How did your cats react?
