Yeah, I left the baking soda paste on for almost three full days -- it dried into a solid plaster after an hour or so, and then I left it for another 70-ish hours. And that seemed to do a decent job on the laminate-floor incident.

Today I'm dealing with a new throw-up -- once again, fishy and watery, so it soaked through everything -- on carpet and upholstery. :-/
I use this for general stains and it works great.

We used it on carpeting and upholstery for stains both dog related and not.
Quick question, ladytimedramon ladytimedramon : did it also get out the odour(s)?

Because that's what I need it for (there are no stains, just stink!). Thanks!

To close the loop on this thread, what finally worked was OUT!

It's actually a product I used YEARS and years ago, when I moved into an apartment where the previous tenant had let her cat and ferret pee/poop EVERYWHERE. It got the smell out completely then, and I didn't even realize OUT! was still in production. But it is, and it worked. PHEW.

I've just recently had luck with Irish Spring. Liberally lather the area three times and fully rinse . Then let it air dry. I have pretty inexpensive laminate tiled "floating" floor. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but figured I could mention it.
