What Breed ?

This is Frankie. He is 8 weeks old and 2.2 lbs. I thought he might be 1/2 russian blue. It is not visible in this photo but he does have ghost tabby markings. Any Idea what breed to kind of cat he might be ? My vet said he is not a Russian Blue but just a grey domestic short hair. But he does have that silver blue look.

His color is blue (dilute of black) but that does not make him Russian Blue. There are other features in the CFA breed standard that carry as much weight as the color, such as head shape, body type, and coat texture. Your baby doesn't match those other features. You vet is right, without a known history (pedigree) he's a Domestic Shorthair.

I would definitely say Russian blue, but something else too.
