I think I'd say she might be the sort of cat the MC was selected from. Rescues in th US seem to have a very nuaghty habit of saying every LH cat that comes through is MC, which means there seem to be an awful lot of them around.Remember that a Maine Coon (and Norway Forest cats and Siberians and quite a few other breeds) are a 'natural breed' - they were selected from the domestic cats of a particular area. So, it's not surprising that domestic cats with a passing resemblence come along from time to time. However only 3% or thereabouts of the pet cats in the UK are pedigrees and most of those are neutered, so not going to spread their genes around.
