What breed does this cat look like?

Hello! I just got this cat from a co worker who had to give it away, the co worker said he was a bengal mix but I’m not sure if he looks like one. His personality is very energetic and active, also kinda bouncy gait and seems more intelligent than my other cats. He also loves water and actively tries to get into sinks and tubs. Very cuddly. I believe he also seems small for his age. We were told he was six months. Below are pictures. Anyone have any ideas what he may be?

Be sure and feed him as much as he wants if the vet concurs regarding his age, and see if you can translate that love of water into drinking more (try a clean daily mason jar with fresh daily filtered water-cats don't need the flouride and other extra stuff that's added to tap water ).

Bengals don’t get spots in classic tabby pattern. I also don’t see any Bengal in the head shape. Cute black spotted tabby DSH, no particular breed or mix.

Because people have realized Bengals are very expensive, many people have started pawning off ordinary tabby cats as Bengals or Bengal mixes. Unless it's a very low percent, your baby is simply a very beautiful tabby and your coworker was either unaware or dishonest. Hopefully you didn't pay Bengal prices!! I've seen as low as 5k for a mix and as high as 20k for a pure Bengal with papers.
