What breed do you think my girls most resemble?

Their eyes are gold/green/bluey depending on the light.

Their colouring is predominately black with white toes, chins and tummies.

Their mummy is grey and white.

Their daddy is a mysterious stranger.

Someone called them ''tuxedo'' but I'm sure that's colouring, not breed.

I know it's not a definite specific breed but I'd just like to know.

Yes, tuxedo is this colouring / pattern.   You can also call them for black and white bicolor if you so wish.

They are not of any especial breed, alike most of their fellow cats.  Only just about 5% of all cats in te   USA and western Europe are of a breed or a fresh mix thereof.
