Let me tell you I am having a day. I woke up feeling very nauseous, but as I had to conduct interviews today I got up, showered and made my way to work. By the time I got to work I was having serious Braxton Hicks contractions (for a while there I thought they were the real thing). My co-worker, who is supposed to be helping with the interviews (he is actually the main person, not that you can tell by the distribution of work) came in cranky (didn't even show for yesterday's interviews) and went home early, leaving me again with the bulk of the work. Each person who has been coming in has to do a written test 1st, followed by an oral interview. I have to sit in the room with them during the writing so that no cheating happens (don't know how they can cheat on this test - it is all about personal suitablity and not knowledge) and then sit through the interview. Since I have been having these pains all day (the baby will not settle) I am trying not to grimace so that they don't think I am grimacing about them. That would certainly throw them off during the interview portion. There are times I just want to double over in pain. Well more discomfort then actual pain. And I have to come in tomorrow as we have one more interview in the morning and my co-worker (who is supposed to be in charge of this process) has said he probably won't be in. All because he has a sore back. Do I have a right to be peeved at him?
Sorry for the vent, but I can't let loose at work.
Thanks for listening.
