We adopted a cat 3 weeks ago, he was on Iams hairball and Holistic Select (duck) at the foster home (and some wet food, but he doesn't like canned food much).
His foster mum gave me a baggie of the old food, and I slowly transitioned him to Petguard (http://www.petguard.com/cat-products...itten-dry-food) which he ate, and have now slowly transitioned him Wellness Core (about 25-50%). He has so much more energy and is running around all fast much more often! He's 1.5 years or so and just loves to run up and down the stairs, that one day he's going to knock us off the stairs! I'm almost afraid what he'd be like if he's on it 100%! (Yes I'll slowly start giving me some canned food too... foster mum gave me a can of holistic select and he won't touch it...)
Anyone experienced a change in energy level like this, even though Petguard ingredients looked pretty good without much fillers? I am going to try Evo and Fromm as well just to see what works best for him.
(We just adopted a 2nd cat a week ago, but she's recovering from a cold, so I'm almost hoping the 1st cat is not too energetic for her since she wants to rest most of the time, but he wants to play!)
