Ummm...I witnessed something strange about my boy cat Napoleon this morning, and bear with me a minute.
OK basically he has a hyperactive "biting" problem in the morning...he gets excited about the prospect of playing, treats and breakfast, that he tends to bite me till I get out of bed. Not fun when I'm trying to sleep
. So I keep an arsenal of stuffed animals on my bed (which my boyfriend loves, let me tell you
) for Napoleon to play with. Keep in mind, some of these stuffed animals are as big as him!!
For the past several weeks, I've noticed when I draw his attention away from my hand to stuffed animal, it works. He starts attacking it, getting all Kicky and bitey with it...he will sometimes even grab it by the "neck" and drag it to the end of the bed and start beating the crap out of it again!
But this morning, I noticed something weird to say the least...well he starts dragging one of the animals and starts...ahem..."going to town on it." I swear, it looked straight out of animal planet!!!
So I guess my question is...can neutered males still have "desires" although they can't do anything (k-w-i-m?)? He's never tried anything on Cassie, besides chase her around the house (she's spayed, and returns the favor as far as chasing around the house)...but is this normal/natural?
