Watch out for "Natural Flavors" - Allergies

If you cat has food allergies, watch out for ingredients that are simply listed as "natural flavors". I tried a treat for Buddy (he is allergic to chicken and possibly pork). It had an ingredient simply listed as "natural flavors". He started scratching his ears again. Double check the ingredients and then emailed the company. Sure enough - chicken AND pork is what the "natural flavors" consist of.

If he's still scratching you could dab on some chamomile tea, it helps ease the itch and discomfort, and is safe if he ingests it and it is also anti bacterial and anti fungal.

Thank you for the suggestion! He is fine - I caught it very early. He did scratch off a little fur, but the skin is fine.
