The vet said after ultrasound and X-ray that she thought 3 days. That was on Friday. Yes a c/section does cost 1200$ so waiting is absolutely something I want to do. Maybe she needs a different bed? I have a baby pool with blankets and puppy pads but aim considering putting up the large dog kennel and throwing a blanket over it for a nesting box.. no other options for her.. my bedroom does no have a closet and I can’t let her roam the house

What’s the actual longest a person can wait before a c-section is definitely required?

$1,200 for a C-section???????
Yes, that’s definitely within the normal range for a surgery. It would be more potentially in an emergency if you had to go to an emergency vet. Having a litter is not cheap!

Well we have kittens and no c/section I’m not sure about how long to wait. My other 2 moms (10+ years ago) had c/s but both clearly were in distress. We had 5 babies none Siamese lol

hey guys kittens are doing great however I e noticed that they pee on me and I have not really seen mama cat stimulate them to go potty. I put there bottoms by her mouth and she does not lick them. They also have quite the full potbelly look. All are nursing and growing.
#1 Should I stimulate them for her?
#2. Could she be doing it and I do not see it?

hey guys. Here we are with 3 week old kittens.
Mama cat will sit outside her kitten box and just watch her kittens. When I put her in the kitten box she hops out. They have been meowing all the time. I got kitten formula and took each kitten and gave them each 5 MLS through an eye dropper. They downed the formula like they were starving. I have squeezed her nipple no milk is coming out 6 of the 8 nipples.
Questions: how much formula do I give them and do you think she is out of milk?
Also can I try wet cat food on them or are they too small?

You can try with wet food. They are too young true, but if desperate enough you can try.

The need of formula or goats milk is about 8ml / 30 g a day.

A kitten of 300 grammes will thus need 10 x 8 = 80 ml a day. Give more if they want.

Okay thanks guys. I have given them each formula. I do not see any milk coming out of her nipples and when they nurse they cry mama cat just sits outside the box all day. I do think given how much they meow and never sleep that bottle feeding is going to be the way we have to do it.

Weigting them every day helps you to know if they get enough.

It also helps you to count how much they should get.

If they wriggle you can weigh them in some plastic container.
