Just a quick question,
in need of help.
We have a cat that comes and visits us whenever we have a door or window open. We dont feed her, she likes to sit on her own in a corner or on the couch. The owners are a few houses away and we have spoke to them. First they said it was good that she had some where else nice to visit. Now they dont like it and say we are making her sick, the owners have been knocking on our door looking for her over the last few days even when she isnt with us, but we have seen her around. What should we do? Throw her out when she comes through the window? (We are very soft and hate to do this!) can you give any advice?

Hi! Welcome!!
Oh wow, --since they're getting so snarky about this, can you put up window screens (temporary or whatever) and put something in your doorway so she can't come in?

Like this for the doorway, maybe without the sticky paper so you can still see out and get breezes;

Hi. Do you know for a fact that this cat isn't visiting anyone else besides you? If not, you might want to point out to your neighbor that you are not the only one that the cat visits - and that maybe they might want to consider making their cat an indoor only cat to avoid any issues from any of their neighbors. You could even recommend a catio for them to buy/build so their cat can be outside, but not able to leave their yard.

Just because you're nice to the cat and don't mind having it visit doesn't mean others in the neighborhood feel the same way. Remind your neighbor of this and offer to call them when the cat comes to your house so they can come get it. A free range cat could be getting into anything anywhere and if the owner is worried they should keep the cat in and get it to a vet.
