i took my cat to the vet because she had stopped eating and had ear mites, the vet gave her three injections and said to bring her in three days i asked the vet to check her up for anything else that may be wrong with her but he said no shes strong like a rock, so i took her to another vet who cleaned her ears out, next day i went to the second vet again and the second vet checked her mouth and said she might have abscess, and gave her three injections and told me to bring her in two days,
when i was petting her i noticed a lump under her chin and i had to point this out to the vet to convince him that there was something else wrong with the cat, the vet then sold me some iodine ointment and told me to rub it twice a day for 5 days and he said it'll disappear,
i asked my dad who used to be a vet over 27 years ago and he said when an animal has abscess after the abscess breaks open and empties its supposed to be washed out and filled in with soemthing that will slowly empty out and heal at the same time,
so im a little worries that the unprofessional vets here don't care for cats properly and give them minimal treatment, should i be worried? is that process described necessary? or should i just keep rubbing the ointment and let it heal by its self?
also i just switched her to royal canin persian kitten dry food and royal canin instinctive kitten wet food because i was worried the cheap cat food i got her that doesnt even have a brand is bad for her, and recently she has been pooping very dark bad smelling poop, shes 9 months old
also there was a period where she barely ate a few peices of food for two days before i took her to the vet
