My (stray) cat was recently prescribed a liquid antibiotic (Clindamycin) for a fairly deep wound. The prescription label on the bottle says to give 1 ml twice a day for 14 days. Here it is at day 6 and I just realized that this particular medicine contains 20 ml of liquid according to the bottle. So it only contains 10 days worth, not 14. Is this something I should be concerned about? I don't know if they (the vet or tech) didn't realize it only contains 10 days worth or if they're bad at math. Considering most antibiotics are given for a minimum of 14 days, I'm not sure why any company would make a 10 day antibiotic.
