Sasha hasn't had a BM since he pooped the floor on Thursday (after I gave him his first pill) and still pees the floor...
Agreed, I can't expect an overnight miracle, I only started him on the torbutrol yesterday; and the Vet assures me that constipation is a likely side effect, just keep on feeding him wet food and make sure he drinks...but if he hasn't had a BM by tomorrow it might be serious.
They'll follow-up with me tomorrow...but then what? Prescribe a laxative to counteract the constipation?
Anyway, I tried my idea of putting the Chicken Stew in the Magic bullet...success! Both Tiggy and Sasha cleaned their plates. I figured that since Sasha needs the extra fluids I'd offer him another serving...he looked at the plate, squinted with this weird look on his face (almost as if to say "what did you slip in my food?") and got off the bed.
Patiently I'm like "Fine, if you don't want it I'll give it to Tiggy". I do that, come back to the bedroom and stepped into something wet...a fresh puddle of pee next to the water fountain I keep in the bedroom. First time he doesn't pee on the plastic runner...
Agreed I raised my voice, I said (mostly to myself) "So the runner's no longer good enough?" and he's looking at me all frightened. I cleaned up his mess, made sure I used urine-off and sat next to him very gently.
He kept recoiling and squinting as if he feared I'd spank him...I petted him and scratched his chin; using a soothing voice..."I'm not mad, I'm just worried!"
Good mojo vibes would be appreciated...
