I have been in Bangkok this week, and the city is full of street cats. They generally look reasonably healthy, as they tend to live in monasteries and are fed by the monks. Anyway, walking back from dinner I encountered a cat with a coat like none I have ever seen. It was short and smooth, like a dachsund's or short haired Jack Russells coat. Very unusual and attractive. The cat was white with orange/tan markings (like a Turkish Van, but of course, a lot scruffier). I've never seen a cat with a short short coat like this. It was not like a Sphynx at all - not hairless. A very normal looking cat (not really oriental looking), but with a tight smooth coat. Like I said, close to a dachsund. Any thoughts? Does such a breed exist? I'd bring him home if I could! Bet he doesn't shed much....
