Very red underneath tongue???

This could kinda be a continuation to my last post. While taking a picture of my cat he yawned and I noticed the underside of his tongue looked to be a weird color. Further investigation I found it has these strange splotches? Could this be from where his tongue rests on his teeth? I can’t find anything on google even close to what this looks like. Could this just be normal he’s 7 and I don’t think Ive ever seen under his tongue before?

He’s eating and drinking just fine.

I don't think that's normal-its not how I've seen the underside of a cats tongue to look. Would your vet allow you to send one or two of these photos in to them?
