I haven't posted here in quite some time, but I know there's are a lot of valuable information on this site, and I hoping to find some today! My Simba had PU surgery at the end of January, after 3 blockages over the past 2 years, and has had the cone off for just about 3 weeks now. He's doing well and seems to be back to his baseline. The problem is urinating. He uses the litter box and appears to have a strong flow, but he bolts out of the litter box before he finishes, which leads to a trail of droplets all across the floor and me following behind with the Swiffer Wetjet!
I initially thought he was just dribbling due to perhaps weak muscle tone and that would strengthen over time, according to the vet. Well after watching him over the last week or so, that doesn't seem to be the case. He seems to be freaked out by the stream or something and he appears to be running from it.
Has anyone else experienced this post PU surgery? I have a call into the vet's office but the surgeon who performed the surgery is only available a couple of days a week, so I'm still waiting for a call back.
Thanks in advance!
Lisa
