upper respiratory infection

three of my six cats have come down with a URI the vet suggested keeping them separate for  two weeks from the others do I need a separate room for each cat or can they share a room

I would ask the vet that question.  I would at least separate the sick ones from the healthy ones.  This happens very easily in multi-cat households. My youngest cat had a URI that did not show symptoms right away and he shared it with my other 3 cats.  I hope your babies feel better soon.
