Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for your continued support and prayers for Noel. She has stabilized today. I spoke to the lead oncology tech and she told me that the issues I am having are normal for chemo patients. The beginning is always tough because the treatments are killing both the bad and good cells. So today I brought her to the vet to get some fluids to keep her hydration up until Monday which is her appointment day.
The bad news is that I noticed in route to the vet today that my other kitty Timber, was breathing really hard. She was diagnosed with mammarian adenocarcinoma in February. She has had two tumors removed and seemed to be doing better but then in September she was diagnosed with renal failure. I have been driving her to the vet almost daily to have fluids administered to her. I cannot handle the sight of needles or I would do it myself. Anyhow, I decided since I am already there, I would ask the vet to look at Timber as well. I requested some chest xrays which she agreed to do. As it turns out, the cancer spread to her lungs. I expected that to happen eventually but never dreamed it would happen at the same time as Noel, which happens to be her baby, literally. So tonight I am feeling very sad, stressed and helpless
. I just needed to get some of my feelings out. Please think good thoughts for us.
Thanks,
Terri
