This is an update to the thread I posted about Jemima’s eating difficulties. The thread was moved so I’m posting it here hopefully I got it right this time.
I took Jemima to my veterinarian and she thoroughly examined her. I showed her the video I recorded and she could see that there’s a problem. She’s forwarding the video to a specialist ENT for cats and go from there. She believes that it’s mechanical and not neurological (one of my fears) as she can feel a swallow when she massaged an area along her neck. It could actually be polyps in her ear, or a tight(?) larynx. I wish I knew how to post a video of this so you all could see what this looks like. Anyway, I’ll keep you posted. It might actually help someone else with this strange eating style in their cat. Jemima is very petite as a 1yr old cat. She weighs 7lbs. I hope it’s not due to this problem
