My cat is around 11 yrs old, she has fallen I'll a couple of times ad bounced back but the latest one she is unable to look up without falling and keeps sliding, she stopped grooming herself and walks little fearing that she will hurt herself. She has been to 3 vets and they are unable to come with a diagnosis. She sleeps more than before and tends to sleep with her face down which she has never done before, is very skinny around 6lb and doesn't have much of an appetite. I really don't know what it is and would like to know if anyone exeprienced this before.

Honestly I can't say I have.

My intuition says neurological, head, spine, tail injury, something along those lines.

Has she been to a cat only specialist yet? You can research for vets who specialize in specific disorders, this might help get to the bottom of her problem.

I would also if she had a complete bloodwork. Could be symptom of a nutrition deficiency. ----- What did the vets test?

she has gotten blood tests done but they havent found anything suspicious, problem is I wish a can take her to a specialist but I moved to the middle east a couple of years ago and brought her with me and now want to take her back home but her health is deteriorating and I cant do anything . There are no specialist available in the country. I am doing everything in my will to nurse her back to health and take her home, but do not know what is wrong with her and what she needs to help her out.

Please if anyone had their cat exhibit symptoms like this please let me know what you did. I thought at first it was a deficiency in a vitamin and started giving her cat vitamins she slightly improved then went back down again to a worse state. she now exhibits tremors and is shakey and unstable most of the days because she fear walking because of falling down.

Please go to this site

http://www.cat-world.com.au/Cat-Health-Collection/ataxia-in-cats.html

Watch the video, see if your cat is anything like this.

If so, then at least you and the vet will know what they are dealing with, then of course figure out the cause, which will determine a cure/treatment.

The cat in the video exhibits a  bit severe symptoms compared to my cat, but I think some of the symptoms exhibited can be a link, and it could be a deficiency in Thiamine, I will look into it more. Thank you

She has gotten worse, now she barely eats because her head shakes to much that she cant focus on one specific object, and she has been sneezing. so far she is just sleeping the whole day. I dont know what to do anymore!! any vets out there, what does shaking in the head or tremors in the body mean? especially if it comes out of no where?

One of the causes listed in the article is poisoning by snail bait.  Is/was she an indoor/outdoor kitty?  Do you think any of your neighbors may be using snail bait in their gardens?  It's about that time of year, after all.

no she is fully indoor, and we have taken all the precautions from cleaners and stuff.  she takes showers now almost every 3 days because she is unable to lick herself since her body is shaky. I am going out of my mind trying to find possible treatments or ways to help her out.

I've been trying to read through these posts and help out in some way, but the only symptom I'm reading is head shaking. This is really vague and could be caused by many things.

Can you try to describe her symptoms in more detail? Is her head low to the ground or tilted? Is she walking on her hocks? Is the shaking more of a tremble or forceful jerks? Is it only in her head or all over? Are her limbs doing the same? Is she head pressing (putting her head against a wall or object)? Is she circling?

In the past when you said she had fallen ill, what were the diagnoses of her illnesses each time?

She slides like the floor is slippery when it's not, but not walking on her hooks. When this all happened the dr said it migt be ear infection so we used antibiotics and stuff and it didn't change anything. It first started with her back legs sliding now her front paws as well so she finds it hard to sit up properly, her body just sways all the time now, so she avoids licking herself cuz it's to hard for her to do. It's not vertigo I've checked, and not age either, diabetes, etc. so I am lost. Dr previously said it might be seizures effecting her because her face sometimes twitches and go back but she snaps out of it and takes only 5 seconds so I don't believe it's seizures

If blood work was okay (assuming all the norm was checked), then you'd have to look at the things that don't get picked up by routine blood work - neurological conditions (brain, spine, nervous system), cardiovascular conditions (heart, arteries), etc.

So double checking, this just started happening, then? She's never had these symptoms before?

It's possible that she had a stroke. Check out these links and see if the symptoms fit.

The first time she fell ill was in 2011 and she was just sick, like didnt move, didnt eat nothing for three days, then she bounced back. it happened again a month later, and from then she started sliding on her paws. the doctor said it could have been a stroke. So she was on and off improving then falling ill again, and when she was ill she couldnt move or do anything she just slept and we were force feeding her and everything. she got better but the sliding stuck with her. This year though its different she didnt fall ill she just started shaking and cant balance herself without falling over. we first thought it was her ears and got them checked and got drops and all, but nothing helped, its like everytime she gets up out of her bed her left side doesnt seem to pick her up and she falls over, she tries again walks straight but if she looks up at you while walking she will fall over.

her unbalance is making it difficult to eat her food because not only does she fall but her head and body shakes.
