Cats didn't get the Vaseline every day, once every month or so when they had hairball problems.

I laugh whenever I try to give my cat Coco anything gooey. She has a hard time licking it off. I keep saying "come on, you can do it " tiny smooth toungh. Not at all rough. Vaseline might work for her
