Our vet has prescribed Tylosin for my ailing kitty. I can't get her to take it in food - she's barely eating as it is. Has anyone had luck with using the smaller gel caps (I'd transfer it myself) or with the compounded liquid through Diamondback Drugs? Thanks for any and all advice!

Not for my cat, but for my dog. I put his dose in individual gelcaps, and then feed it to him in a pill pocket. Would your cat eat a pill pocket? Tylosin is wicked bitter.

I got Artie's Tylosin compounded into a flavored liquid. It was still a bit of a struggle to get down, but it worked. I gave a chaser of water after giving the compounded liquid.

The other option is a pill gun and putting the pill in a gel cap,
size 3 or 4.
