Tresaderm Shortage

What is everyone doing because of the Tresaderm shortage? My cat has an ear infection, and the vet told me they are no longer doing the oti-pack treatments. All of the local vets here are out of Tresaderm and Chewy and 1800 Pet Meds are out too.

I have not needed anything for an ear infection, but just now checked Chewy under "ear medicine" under their pharmacy and several things came up which leaves me to believe there are many alternatives to Tresaderm. Animax is one.

The vet I see said that the medicine you mentioned would not be appropriate for my cat, and the only other one on hand is Momentamax, which can cause deafness. I will go with this for now.

When commercial products are backordered you can check compounding pharmacies like BCP Veterinary Pharmacy to see if they can recreate Tresaderm based on the active ingredients.
