I'll post the ingredients when I get home. I'm at work right now. It's the wetfood. It sure is cheap. 50 cents a can. But I want to make sure it's ok to keep him on it.
In any event, I'd get whatever food the kitten is currently eating to start him off with - might as well not stress him out with too many new things when you first get him home - and then gradually transition if you do decided to change. Trader Joe's has great prices on so many things, don't they?
If the kitten is doing well on it, then keep him on it.
I used that food for a while, but one of my boys developed a sensitivity to it, so I had to switch. The only caution I have is that all of their canned foods have fish, even the poultry flavors. If your kitty tolerates that, then no problem.
I am kind of biased on this food, since I do work for TJs. I think the wet food is great. Since the recall they have eliminated gluten, it still hs grains, in the form of oat bran and rice flour. I don't really like the dry, even though its a great price. It still is very grain heavy, but they are working on it. I rotate the turkey and chicken flavors with Wellness. Monkey gets at least 4 cans of TJs wet a week. She LOVES it. Every night when I come home from work she trys to climb into my backpack just to see if I brought her food.
Here are the ingredients(in order on the lable).....
This is just for the turkey and giblet flavors. The Chicken, turkey and rice and the ocean white fidh are almost the same except the main protein ingredients are a bit different, obviously.
I really have been happy with them. I have yet to have a quality issue and even if ther was one I could return it no questions asked and they would alert the supplyer and fix the problem immediately. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions about it. I can email the buyer and hopefully get them answered.
Thanks for the info. He seems to like the TJ food so I guess I'll keep him on it. I just wanted to make sure it was healthy for him.
Know if I can just get Viola to quit hissing and growling at everything, Me, my other cat Natasha, the door of the bathroom where Squeakers is. Oh well it will take some time.
