I'm currently fostering a feral momma and her five babies, who are 5 weeks old today. Last night, when I came home from work, I heard one of the babies screaming! I checked on them, and absolutely panicked when I realized that Pieris had gotten his head caught in a toy called "Cheese Chase" (below is a link to a picture of the toy):

Did I say "caught", I mean wedged...stuck...jammed!!! My heart was pounding, because it seemed impossible to get it out. I grabbed him and the toy, and went to the phone & called a friend who calmed me down, so I could calm him down. After much manipulation, I was able to free him, but it wasn't easy! So if you have kittens, do not give them this toy. If you already have this toy, take it away from them until they're much, much bigger than mine are!
I never had this problem with this toy before with my other foster kits, but they were older...over two months. Personally, I won't let a kitten have that toy again until they're at least 3 months.
Just thought I'd let y'all know. I feel like I dodged a bullet. I don't think he was stuck overly long (he still had alot of fight in him, and he recovered after about 10 minutes), but I worked a 12 hour shift, and I can't even think about what would have happened if this had occurred earlier in the day! *shudder*
