Toe Injury

I have a male cat about 6 months old maybe a little more..This afternoon I was petting him and his foot was fine..A few minutes later he's limping...Now I don't know what happened ....The toe looks like its pointing up...You can feel the tip of the claw....He's going to the vet in the morning..Just wondering if anyone here has ever had that problem...

Your description makes me wonder if he landed wrong when he jumped off of something.

Well he did jump up on the bed and that's when we noticed it....He's got to go to the vet...I could most likely put it back but I am afraid he would bite me..He's a darling of a cat but even gentle ones bite when hurt. I don't think it's serious just dislocated.

Update! Carried the cat to the Vet this morning...Darnest thing I have ever seen..His dew claw had hooked around his fourth toe and pulled it over his third toe to the second one...Vet took one snip with toe nail clippers and the foot fell back to normal...They put him on pain meds for three days..Just glad he had not broken nothing.
