Does anyone have any idea why I turn into prey the moment I lie down in bed. He doesn't do it with my husband. He gives me a lot of light bites too, generally naughty disposition, but this behaviour when I'm in bed, going for my face, is a bit much, and I have to shoo him away.

 sorry.. but he's a kitten, and you're down at his level. And kittens are a bit on the bitey side.

He will settle down in time but I'd offer him some really interesting toys that are more exciting than your face, and save them for when you go to bed. It's worth a try.

And welcome to TCS!

Thanks for the links!
Hello and welcome to TCS. :wave2:

Can we see a picture of your precious little persian? :camera:
How To Add A Picture To Your Forum Post

And about his night time pouncing, I also think it's because you're his mom. :catlove:

But perhaps you do have to teach him a few kitty manners. ;) Here's an article on how to Teach Your Kitten How to Play Nice : The Humane Society of the United States

Plus How To Stop Playtime Aggression In Cats and Cat Aggression Toward People in case there's anything helpful in them.

I'm working on my HISS, right now it's a bit weak and he just stares at me.

Oh my gracious sakes!!! How to resist such a DOLLbaby!
A suggestion, give him a HISS just like his mama would when bad behavior starts. :redheartpump:

Hmmm I would either blow on him and say no or more likely if he work me up scruff him and tell him no, then ignore him. I think a scruff and no should teach him it just takes time. On the bright side it will only be months instead of years like with human toddlers ;)
