I found a small lump/tumor on Nugget’s back leg. It’s smallish, the size of a penny and oval in shape, bit lumpy. Poking it doesn’t bother him.

I believe it’s just a lipoma. Should I just keep an eye on it until his next vet appointment in a few months? Thoughts?

My cats are getting lumps, especially as they age. As long as it doesn't suddenly get bigger, it should be OK. Most lumps are benign on cats, especially between the legs on the inside of the thigh. Cancer is usually hard and immovable, benign is soft and can be pushed around a little.

Well, come to find out from my mom a few days after I found the lump, Nugget was walking on our upstairs cat walk and fell off, onto the piano. The lump disappeared about a week and half after the incident. Going to say the two were related.
