I think about the High-Kill situation in my area a lot and spend a lot of time researching it. My hope is to someday be in enough of a position of power to *do* something about it. Meanwhile though, I found this and it made me want to shout YES! Because so much of it would address the problems with *my* local humane society. So I felt like sharing.

Thank you for the link! I will definately check it out. I knew he was no longer there, but wasn't sure what he was up to.

I just love the way he dealt with it, just simply making euthanasia NOT a choice. And his stuff on fosters and volunteers... *sighs*

Very encouraging! In my town, three rescue organizations are trying to overtake (partner with) the Animal Control. I am very hopeful that they will achieve their goals in time. It will certainly save the rescues a lot, as they do tend to pull from the kill shelters.
