Food, especially dessert, is something that I want wholesome and fresh. If I am to satisfy my sweet tooth I'd much rather go all the way. This product also reminds of another product, that was pancake in a bottle.
i could see people buying this kind of product. i think it's the ease and convenience that attract people. having said that though, i'd never consider buying it. i don't even buy boxed cake mixes, preferring to bake from scratch.
I saw that on a segment of some news show. The reporter tried it and apparently it tastes like cake.
I would pass though. Not hard to add oil and eggs to a boxed cake mix and give it a few stirs. But I can see it being ideal for college students or someone who doesn't want to keep ingredients around for a cake.
I'm dismayed that there is yet another product being produced that will add more waste to the landfill IE: the metal can.
My concern would be with ingredients, more than anything else, but the inventors said the ingredients are fresh, organic, and kosher. The aerosol puts bubbles into the batter, so no baking powder is needed. We don't think twice about using aerosol cans for spraying oil or whipped cream, so what's the big deal?
Sounds like something for the dorm rooms since you microwave to bake it. Kudos to the Harvard students!
