thicker fur

Do kitties get thicker fur as winter sets in?  I have a 10 month old kitty who is an indoor kitty.  Her fur seems to be getting ticker.  Is that normal?  Or is it because she is becoming more of an adult?

Coats do fill out with cooler weather, and they drop coat in the warmer months.

Yes,it is normal for the coat to get thicker when it's cold to keep them worm and when summer comes again the extra hair will get loose and fall.
