Just took grandma her Christmas present and found out a family secret. Turns out my Grandpa never thought my Uncle Donnie was his. I guess his first wife wasn't exactly faithful. But you never would have known by the way my family acted. I mean, I was in my teens before I even knew Uncle Mike and Uncle Donnie weren't my Grandma's kids. And I didn't find out Uncle Mike was adopted until after my Grandpa died. My family has always been pretty close. Blood isn't all that important - love is.

Trying to snap out of a funk. So much sadness in the world lately. I have to go to a wake for a cousin later today and that's not going to help.
